1. Information we collect
1.1 Vidyabeej Books
Vidyabeej Books is an informational catalogue. Purchases happen entirely on Amazon, not on vidyabeej.com. We do not collect payment information for book purchases. If you sign up for a downloadable resource (such as an activity kit or classroom guide), we collect your name and email address to deliver that resource and, if you opt in, to send occasional updates.
1.2 Vidyabeej OS
When you create an OS account, we collect:
- ›Your name and email address
- ›Authentication information (either a hashed password, or, if you sign in with Google, basic profile information Google shares with us — your name, email, and profile picture)
- ›Your role/persona selection (e.g., student, professional)
- ›Your learning activity: academies accessed, lesson progress, certification practice attempts, answers submitted, and results
- ›Payment information processed through Razorpay for certification access purchases (see Section 3 — we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves)
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- ›Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
- ›Process payments and manage subscriptions
- ›Track learning progress and generate results and readiness assessments
- ›Communicate with you about your account, purchases, or changes to our Services
- ›Improve our Services and develop new content
- ›Comply with legal obligations
4. Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission and database-level access controls (row-level security) that restrict data access to authorized users only. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data retention
We retain account and activity information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@vidyabeej.com.

8. Vidyabeej OS is not directed at young children
Vidyabeej OS and Certification Labs are intended for users aged 18 and older, or for use by students under adult/institutional supervision.
9. International users
Vidyabeej is based in India, and the data we collect is primarily processed and stored in servers located in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) region. If you access our Services from outside India, your information will be transferred to and processed in these locations.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
11. Governing law
